This ongoing collaborative project explores the symbiotic relationship between industrial and natural landscapes along the Severn Estuary and Bristol Channel.

Shaped by centuries of human intervention, extraction, and infrastructure, this environment exists as a complex site where ecological systems and industrial processes are deeply entangled.

Combining archival material, environmental data, and moving image, the project constructs a multidisciplinary portrait of this evolving landscape. Historical records are brought into dialogue with contemporary observations, tracing how industry has both altered and become embedded within local ecologies.

By layering these elements, the work seeks to move beyond binary distinctions between the ‘natural’ and the ‘industrial’, instead proposing a more nuanced understanding of their co-dependence. The resulting body of work functions as both a critical investigation and an evolving archive, documenting a landscape in continual flux.
